This weekend we will be showing the Wimbledon Finals on the Lawn Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon - so bring your chair, umbrella and picnic as it looks showers at times. We know there have been questions about showing the Football Final but for various logistical reasons we are unable to. We wish England well to bring the cup home!
In Dawlish every few years chaps come round with chainsaws and butcher the tree's to within an inch of their lives. From a beautiful tree you end up with a trunk and nothing else. The willow tree's on The Lawn have been systematically butchered every few years as are most of the tree's along the curbsides. No matter what we say on the tree survey, some development company will come along waving £1'sssss towards the planning committee and hey ho, trees will be chopped down for more development, so what's the point!
