I prefer the biscuits from the local pet shop but my cats insist on Go Cat. However, they do seem to agree with my taste in fresh food and are happy to share it if I turn my back for a moment. They also like Marmite but they have yet to try Vegemite, unlike my granddaughter whose mum gives her Marmite and whose dad gives her Vegemite If cheftallytand wants a flavour of home, Deli Delicious stocks ...

Kate's Great Catch in Teignmouth is good for fish and game but no hapuka, I'm afraid. Has frozen game and can get hare if you ask. Lloyd Maunder's is good for beef and has good smoked streaky bacon. Before Christmas they had phesants and partridge. Ask around for the best pasties which are excellent. There is nothing to compare with NZ pies. Plenty of good cheese - look for Quicke's cheddar ...

One important item in Leatash's list of actions is "Shop rents were subsidized to allow new business to start." I can imagine ten years of debate and inaction over that in the various council chambers. Maybe I am cynical. Don

I can't keep track of that either. Certainly in Teigmouth a while ago, some parking was managed by Teignbridge and some by Devon.

@Cosey I was accused of being other people within a day of my first ever posting and it has happened several times since. I wrote a satirical piece about Roy and was accused of writing it to disguise the fact that I was Roy. I understand your annoyance and, as Webmaster says, you have done nothing wrong. Try to laugh it off and continue to post, Don

I have been subscribed to TPS for years. It cuts out most of the calls - the ones from reputable companies. By elimination, it means that those I do receive are ignoring my TPS preferences and cannot be trusted with any information at all that they do not have already. @wriggler Good advice.

I think that it all this is a far cry from many of the abusive and potentially libellous posts which used to fill the Backyard. However, I cannot understand why people seem unable to treat one another with respect on the forum. I try not to write anything that I would not say face to face with the person I am addressing. @Cosey , I understand your position re Rainbow1 after her posts attacking ...

I could probably find plenty of reasons to agree with the previous posters and the webmaster, but I don't. I do not like some of the posts, now or in the past, but none of them upsets me enought to want to see people banned.
