Well I for one don't intend to change my user name, this is the first time that I can remember directly challenging another user here. I feel better for doing so too. Too long have I sat and observed, this may be the start of a new, more engaged Duckileaks..... or it may not, I may just carry on in my usual way. After all, there's more to life than this ol' load of rollocks.
No, not a friend of John, never met him. Tend not to like your sort of behaviour and chose this time to say so. I'm not uptight either, generally the most relaxed person going, but there comes a time when even I choose not to see both sides and actually say when someone is out of order, so - You're out of order! Nasty, snide, vindictive, sly or any other word you care to like to ...
Does something have to be against the T&C's to be unpleasant or designed to cause offence? What is light-hearted about trying to start a thread criticising someone who is just sharing a love of photographing views and comparing them with historical images?
I'm thoroughly sick and tired of all this. Cyber bullying is still bullying. I don't want to use my real identity for a variety of reasons - you choose to share who you, neither of us is wrong and each choice should be allowed and respected. If the terms of the forum are being breached then it's up to the moderators to deal with it, if they're not quick enough then more moderators should be ...
'Tis the nature of Internet forums. have used this and others for quite a few years now, trouble is you hit on something posters feel strongly about and reason flies out of the window! (Along with good manners sometimes) I have seen and experienced people riding roughshod over the basic rules of forums - if someone chooses to be anonymous don't try to out them, Internet isn't real life so ...
@Carer been Internet free for a few days so apologise for delay. No I don't think people from Dawlish wouldn't have outside experience or nothing to offer but for the entire time that I have lived in Dawlish (20+ years) I have heard the continual bleat that only Dawlish people know what's best for the town. Utter rollocks! Living or working or just travelling to other places broadens ...
