In answer to your questions - no, there aren't jobs in Dawlish. Theres very little in Dawlish at all. The 'economy' is built on the tourist trade - the lower end of the market. No restaurants, no family friendly pubs, just drinking dens. No B&B - WHY??????? A truly depressing place to live - we've been here 18 months and thats enough- we are moving to Exeter. Nothing has changed here for years ...
