I don't take a phone on holiday, but I've written to both bodies on my return. Not just about Baileys but also about some of the good things I saw and experienced around the town. I didn't appproach Baileys staff  to tell them about the smell, as they are working in it I'm sure they are quite aware of it.

I visited the premises and had a look around, apart from a batch of old Wisdens there wasn't much that interested me personally.

I visit Dawlish frequently and I really do like it, I can always find something to do ,plenty of decent places to eat and lots ofdecent pubs serving real ale. I only have one complaint , I assumed last time it was a one-off but there it was this visit too. Arriving by train and leaving the station the first thing that greets visitors is the apalling smell of "old and well used" chip pan oil/fat ...

most of the so called Travellers actually have houses usually in the North of England.They stay home in the winter and tootle off in their caravans for the summer months. You recognise them as they all have top pf the range 4x4s or Mercs. Many now go abroad for the summer organising tarmac gangs in Belgium and Holland working for cash paying no taxes or vat then home for the winter boozing and ...

I think you'll find quite a number of types of seagulls are protected by law so its an offence to kill them. Incidentally I remember being on holiday in Dawlish in the early 80's. At that time the brook was full of small eels, the seagulls would pluck the eels out of the brook and fly to the nearest path. They'd then beat the eels heads on the concrete until they were dead or unconcious then fly ...

That isn't true, Wetherspoons have outlets in a number of small towns, Crediton for example population under 8000.
