As far as my understanding goes the lawn actually belongs to the people of Dawlish and was left to them for the provision of public entertainment. Therefore neither Dawlish or Teignbridge councils have a 100% right to say what goes on the lawn. Their only commitment is to ensure its maitainance on behalf of its owners ie ourselves Dawlish rate payers. What Dawlish council did last year calling for ...
And me they cant even use the ones marked on the car park by Scala house but obstruct the public spaces when visiting their office, to bloody lazy to walk a dozen extra steps.
The town centre of Dawlish is a difficult place to run a business from due to most of the property being landlord owned. I for one wouldnt run a business from a rented shop with a seperate domestic rented flat over it.
