Chance that there are going to be no buses as the Exeter drivers have voted to strike as they are upset at relocation of the depot to matford.

@Lynne sorry missed that bit in da2, i thought that littleleigh had been removed due to access issues, but it seems that it was refused because of the design being out of character with the area. that could be interesting when it comes to secmaton lane fronted by bungalows but with houses either side. oh well thats for 2017 or later.

@Lynne your comments on stockton and gatehouse hill traffic using carhaix is exactly the reason that secmaton lane was closed off to vehicle traffic, and as an aside remember that it takes on average 10 lorry movements to build a house thats 10 in and 10 out. so for 484 houses at gatehouse thats a total of of 9680 lorry movements during the building either along elm grove road or carhaix way.  ...

I thought we had a local plan that said where houses could be built and non of it included Holcombe.

So will we the residents of Teignbridge be forking out for a builders cockup, but then the residents of Carhaix must be grateful as they wont like it when they get heavy constuction traffic using Carhaix as a short cut to the Gatehouse building site because the link road will not be built first.

I wonder if the residents will complain so much when they realise that a lot of the building traffic for Gatehouse Farm will probably use it as a short cut to avoid the problems of turning into Elm Grove Road. Wonder how they will like heavy constuction traffic passing their doors. It was also unsurprising to hear that TDC Planning Department are passing the buck to Devon County Council.

@UPWITHIT Are you able to post a link to the Covenant for the Manor please.

Having used the bus to Exeter for the last two days I can confirm that the buses are used extensively after 5:00 pm. The problem over low usage seems to revolve around the very poor timekeeping of the route 2 buses. In the trip up to Exeter on Monday I counted 7 buses coming the other way, they are supposed to be 20 minutes apart but at least 4 buses were only 5 minutes apart so one of the two ...

The goverment must arrange its own independent count of passenger numbers throughout the year, but I still say that CC must continue the existing timetable

Standing on Newton Abbot station on Thursday morning at 9:15 and a Cross Country train from Manchester to Paignton arrived and I made a point of counting the number of passengers on the train. To the best of my ability I counted 63 passengers just a small difference to their average figure of 25.
