Over 400,000 releases per year to private parking companies? That's a heck of a lot of illegal parkers! I look forward to seeing what Anne Robinson has to say. Thank you for the heads up.

Would the programme be about releasing information (for no profit) to private parking companies? I.e. providing address information to enable illegal parkers to be sent their letters demanding that they pay the fines that they owe? Sounds interesting. I might record it.

@Lynne . one point of order. it's not a case of planners/developers versus dawlishians!!! as you well know, there are plenty of people who live in the town and nearby hamlets who are in favour of the plans. please do not do your campaign a disservice by claiming that our favouring is being 'anti-dawlish'. thanks.

Thanks for the info Cassandra. If additional work is required, then the timing of it would presumably depend upon the urgency of the need for replacement. One can only hope that the urgency is not that great, and that seasonal trade is therefore not unduly affected. Still, it's never bad is it that the planned work was completed as per schedule?

But facts are so boring! :-) Just like the fact that the roadworks on the Strand would take no more than a fortnight!! A fact initially derided by the usual suspects on that there social network site as being unachievable, but who have noticeably failed to comment when proven wrong yet again. So, well done to all concerned for delivering on their commitment. PS type in 'dawlish dogging' into ...

This thread isn't about me. I notice that you fail to disagree about the fact that profiteering takes place. Be it the retailer or the supplier is semantics. I buy my petrol from a petrol station, and such minor technicalities are irrelevant when deciding which petrol station to use. The price, however, is very relevant.
