We already new about the tip closing at Shutterton. It was on here a while ago My thought is that If this happens up and down the country then expect to see fly-tipping make a come back.

Bankers' Bonuses

Lynne, of course it bears thinking about. You can't have free market capitalism if governments pick and choose what companies are allowed to go bust or not. What didn't bear thinking about was the alternative which was the transfer of a huge amount of taxpayer's money, most of which comes from the poorest since most people are poor, to the richest and which clearly continues today unabated as is ...

Labour are also to blame for not taking the opportunity to rid the country of these disgusting pig-like creatures when the crisis hit. The banks should never have been bailed out. What a missed opportunity.

There are many couples that I would not want to see snogging at the bar. These include gay men, dykes, pensioners and my parents. I am sure you can think of others. A kiss or peck on the cheek is OK though as long as it doesn't involve tongues.

Property in Dawlish

No, Zoopla prices are not wrong and they do not match the thoughts of Estate Agents. There are several 3 bed houses on Zoopla that sold for less than £130K. Also, I do not see any 1 bedroom flats that have sold for 90K.

But if you had no choice but to sell then we would be looking closer to the 95K figure rather than the ...

I think a lot of people would like a house in Dawlish and it is not that people don't want to live in Dawlish but that they probably won't buy your house for £125K. I suspect you may struggle to sell it for that, whereas if you put it on the market for, say, £95,000 you would get some interest and perhaps sell it straight away. Therefore, the true value of your house is somewhere between £95K and ...

This shows to me that most properties in Dawlish are very overpriced: This 3 bedroom end terrace house is sold subject to contract for £125,000. I had been watching this one as I thought it was "cheap" compared to other properties: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-29746010.html and this 1 bedroom slither of a house on the market for £127,000: ...

Localism
22 Dec 2010

Localism is a recipe for higher council taxes, further nepitism, corruption and incompetence. Most local councils couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.
