Trains , not my cup of tea, but they are for many visitors to dawlish and long may that continue. Seals , if you sit at Pirates Chest you will regularly see them. An adult and pup come very close while feeding. Dolphins, seen every year, especially early in the morning. SBATTS43, you can get a great bacon sandwich and mug of tea from The Pirates chest in the spring/summer and still see the trains, seals and dolphins.
Rock and Sole beats it everytime, large choice of fish and tasty chips. You can see how unclean baileys is just by looking in the window. The warmers dont look like they've been cleaned properly for years. If you sit in the cafe the cups are dirty and the knives and forks are filthy. I'll give it a miss thanks. . With so many other decent ones to choose from , you must work there.
SBATTS43 , can i give you some advice . Baileys is the worst place to eat in Dawlish. The cafe is dirty,the chips horrible(thats why our seagulls are so big). I think the other cafe you mentioned is the Terrace.They do a great breakfast i agree. You will get a great meal at any of the other cafe's in Dawlish. Agree with you Dallas, places like this that seem to be going the extra mile, definately deserve supporting. Put places like Baileys to shame.

Went in the Exeter Inn the other day for a pint . Decided to have a meal as the food looked so good and have to say i wasnt disappointed. Fresh tasty vegetables , not your usual pub frozen malarky. Not sure what the puddings were like as , the healthy sized portion filled me up . all for £4-95(i think that what i paid).
