Ello, ello, ello. What do we ave ere then? Pikeys nicking from cars? Shoot first, ask questions second.

Motorists are being urged to be on their guard after what police have described as an 'organised' spate of vehicle crime. Police have urged car owners in Teignbridge to clean out their cars after the wave of vehicle-related crime. And it is thought that travelling criminals may be coming from outside the district to raid cars. They are also targeting people who are parking their cars and hiding ...

I'm pleased that expat has started this thread, but feel that it will go over the heads of the usual mob who can only post negative things about Dawlish. I hope I'm wrong.

You really are like a playground bully. The phrase that come to mind is "keyboard warrior". My plea to FEL-669 is not to give up posting on here. I'm rather proud to have touched the lives of so many people. Roy (a mere babe, aged 87).

Good spot there PJD, I see that the press release says that it's for the young people of Dawlish and the surrounding area. Like you no doubt, I'm pleased that current and future young residents of neighbouring places like Dawlish Warren, Cockwood, Starcross, etc, will also be able to gain full benefit from what will be a magnificent facility.

I agree with you 100% re. the need for affordable housing. Further to that, I would also have serious concerns about the location of the development - not because of NIMBYism (the proposed housing is not near me), but because of the environmental impact. I'd also question whether or not the infrastructure of Dawlish could cope with a further 750 (approx) new residents.
