If you remember, we had a cyclist on this forum who stated that he did not use the cycle path because it ruined his tyres. Would have thought that the path was safer than the roads with all the potholes about.

Think they are mainly brown trout, although the fishermen among us can probably enlighten us further. Have also seen quite large eels in the Brook but not so many in recent years.

How big were the fish, Lynne? There are lots of small fry further upstream towards the Manor where they have plenty of cover. Saw a kingfisher along there the other day.

I wonder if there will be another clairvoyant; perhaps they will tell me.

One of the females was swept away by the storms earlier in the year and the other was killed by a dog attack. As these attacks seem to happen on a fairly regular basis, can anyone explain to me why no-one is ever prosecuted for having a dog which is out of control in a public place?

Don't remember seeing anything about it anywhere, and I've read this week's 'Gazette' and the 'Post'.  Would have gone if I'd known about it!

She could do someone a serious mischief if she fell on them - the statue that is, not Cllr. Swift.

I shall be another one voting with my feet. Co-op used to be a trustworthy concern but after the debacle of the 'Crystal Methodist', I don't feel like entrusting any of my hard-earned to them any more.

When we hear of people being uninsured, we automatically assume that this is due to their own negligence but it could be that they weren't able to get insurance, due to various factors. Insurance companies seem to be very picky these days as to who or what they insure. If these people were left without a means of earning their living, shouldn't we then give them some help to get back on their ...

@Andysport There will always be some people with a 'glass half empty' mentality - just try not to let them wear you down.
