when you consider the lawn is the centre piece of the town, how about getting rid of all the alcoholics and drug users that seem to have taken up residence in the shelters, mind you that would probably violate their human rights, also the lawn itself needs investment, and the band stand knock it down and build a decent one, like the one that used to be there.

i just thought i would mention that the exeter inn is closing its doors for the last time on january 30 it will be a sad day for one of dawlish's oldest pubs.

On reflection on the above topic, and if Sainsbury's will be the end of Dawlish town centre, I would have to agree with Lynne, Dawlish needs to reinvent itself......so what does Dawlish have to offer to date? 1. 10 pubs 2. 5 charity shops with another on the way! 3. 2 betting shops 4. 3 pharmacies 5. 1 supermarket 6. 1 butcher the list goes on..... so in my opinion Dawlish needs investment ...

I have to agree with this comment Dawlish Man seems to have a chip on his shoulder the size of...Dawlish!, this person is incapable of been polite or courteous to anyone who uses this forum, instead streams abuse at all and sundry, as I said in a previous comment if you find it a struggle to comment or put a sentence together please feel free to leave and find another forum to dispense your verbal ...

Double yellow lines are there for a reason, if you are unsure check the highway code, and for your information I have driven up brook street many times whether it be cars or vans are always parked there and you have to mount the pavement to get past....simple solution don’t park there!!

I can certainly understand your frustration we have the same problem in upper long lands, cars and vans continually park on footpaths forcing people to walk in the road, unlike brook street which I believe has double yellow lines upper long lands does not have any hence the parking problem, having said that Teignbridge council has a lot to answer for, for there lack of patrols with their so called ...

Talking about cars parking on footpaths, a good example would be upper long lands the footpaths are always blocked with cars and vans forcing people to walk in the road’s I am not sure if these roads would be classed as a service road or a highway? Some clarification if anyone knows would be appreciated. I suppose if it was a highway it could have double yellow lines?.
