Willowsindawlish "there is a negativity in Dawlish by some townsfolk that beggars belief" You are so right. I'm amazed sometimes at how negative SOME people are in Dawlish, especially the ones who vent themselves on this forum. It' seems to be the repository for negativity. I'd just like the wider world to know: 1) The vast majority of people who live in Dawlish are positive and love their ...

You can add your comment in support of Dawlish's bid to become a Portas Pilot town on Mary P's website at http://www.maryportas.com/news/2012/02/04/bid-to-become-a-portas-pilot/comment-page-3/ . It's interesting to read some of the comments about other towns who have also made the bid.

Motorway Services are the worst. Over the last couple of months on the M6 I've paid up to 10p per litre more to fill up on the motorway. If I'm in Exeter I fill up at Countess Weir, it always seems to be a lot cheaper there.

Turbines cause noise for anyone living nearby -not good. They don't replace power stations as they don't work when the wind doesn't blow. They only give good profits to owners because of the high rate of subsidy. And you have to fill the ground underneath them with tons of concrete for support, and add access roads, which will despoil the land forever. They can affect birds. No, I don't want them.
