I thought the land has been leased to them for a long time, TDC just gave approval for the recent development - were they expected to confiscate it?   What merchandise they stock is surely up to them and if no one wants it they will soon change it.   In my opinion the whole area is livelier and looking much better (apart from the portaloos).   Good for them, they're doing something positive.

I don't think anyone is saying they should have been closed but seeing as they have, how they've gone about it is also worthy of comment too.   Has anyone on here contacted TDC to find out why they've gone back on the original agreement?

I fear where this is going.  We don't want the webmaster declaring which of 'bizarre' or 'peculiar' is acceptable.   Stick with bollocks, it's safe.

You've forgotten this then?   Anti-Labour press would have done the same to anyone who wasn't dancing to their tune.    During the Blair years there was a backlash against 'personality politics' but in reality that's what most of the electorate relate to.
