This is the kind of post that has been sadly lacking for a long time.

Point of order. Most of us didn't vote Tory.

I voted for policies not personalities. We don't have presidential elections in this country.

Thanks. There were a lot of unmarked ballot papers! I assume that these were from those who only cast a vote in the general election and/or district election but still popped their town election ballot paper into the ballot box.

A hung council! Well done to all candidates for a good clean election. Is the breakdown of votes available anywhere yet?

Not enough people cared enough to vote out the Tories. My maths are sketchy, but I think that in 2011 the LibDem candidate with the most votes was voted for by 20% of those who voted, whilst Gary Taylor this year was voted for by 27% of voters.
