You might just be right about snow Elvis, my neighbour has just added his contribution to climate change by filling up his back garden with loadsa loadsa logs ready for the big freeze he is anticipating.

I find myself agreeing with JC here.  Verity is a work of art because it is a one off, challenging, striking and is apparently a 'modern allegory about truth and justice'. Just a little speculation - I would suggest that one thing possibly fuelling the issue is that something in the order of two thirds of seats are considered 'safe seats'. Consequently the majority of the electorate has little realistic chance of making their local MP truely accountable over expenses etc. I would be very interested to see a tabulated corrolation between worst excesses and ...

Here's a suggestion - get yourselves sorted and start 'liftsharing'.  It's just one form of the concept of 'asset sharing'. Is non-profit making, so as a norm. does't affect your insurance and can be for short or long distance travel. The true cost benefit is very simple - encourage retired people to get out and stay fit and healthy and you reap the rewards through lower NHS costs.
