User4549. The act of gazumping isn't illegal per se (I.e. there's no law that specifically bans gazumping), however Scottish conveyancing law makes gazumping very rare. So I've just read - I'm no expert lol. The point that I think we agree on is that it should be illegal throughout the UK.

I was really unpleasantly surprised to see on page VIII of this weeks Gazette property section, that Underhill seem to be encouraging gazumping.
