Teignbridge district council: subject - Implementation of a Public Space Protection Order for Dawlish. https://sites.teignbridge.gov.uk/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=47189&p=0 From reading the above document it would seem that it is at the discretion of the officer(s) whether to arrest/fpn the offender(s). So the protection order would seem to be rather ineffectual at stopping offender's ...
@From The Grave - 'but no police in sight!' fairly self explanatory for some.
@From The Grave - i can only assume from your comment that you are asking me why i said 'why the need for a warrant ?'. Obviously the police need a warrant to search a person's property in certain circumstances. What I was remarking on was that if the police, policed and enforced The Lawn on the odd occassion. There would be no need for a warrant because they would, most probably, already ...
What delights there were to see. The D.D&D.C were squatting by the entrance to the disabled toilet, next to the tourist info centre. One member was emptying his stomach contents by the entrance to the w.c. Whilst 2 more were passed out on the grass verge opposite. What a beautiful setting for those on holiday down here. Not only that, but there was a police car parked just up from the Co Op, but ...
Why the need for a warrant? If the police took the time to use thes cctv feeds from The Lawn they could observe numerous drug dealing/anti social behaviour, etc, etc, etc. Oh!, I forgot the cctv on The Lawn hasn't been used in years and the police WALKING a beat are as scarce as rocking horse poop.
@Margaret Swift - many thanks for the info.
It doesn't do the poop pond justice in the photo's, but it is very difficult to navigate through the gate without getting a liberal coating of fermented cow poop all over your foot wear and legs. god forbid you actually slipped and fell in it. Does anyone know who to possibly contact to rectify this pond, it has been steadily growing in size and depth for a couple of weeks now? any assistance ...

Dawlish drinking and drugs club (D.D & D.C.) still frequenting The Lawn/ Cove, etc, etc weather permitting. Large groups of Kids (disclaimer - Kids being used as a very generalised term by myself to include people of all ages acting in an anti social way around Dawlish). Without enforcement ...
@Paul - looks nice, but i believe not as intially proposed. that having a cycle path seperate from the pedestrian steps or are the cyclist's supposed to use the gulley, just kidding on the last bit.
