Well said BN, but we don't want any negativity, do we. LOL. Weather looking good for Friday & Saturday, so should be a great weekend. Have a good time. I know I will.
@ Don & Mary Get your facts right . Where exactly did you see that I offered to help? In the private message you sent, YOU delegated that I should help like YOU have done to OTHERS. I say it again. Who the hell do you think you are telling me (and others) what to do? As for my 'silly' name, well FYI that IS my surname. Mr E Carer. PS. No one on here has to ...
@ Don & Mary How dare you tell/order me what to do. Just who the hell do you think you are? I have done a lot for this town, a lot more than you or anyone else realises.
Mmmmmm. Maybe the Carnival itself was good (and thats mainly due to the Public participation) and the pram race was great fun, but the amount of events on the lawn this year was minimal. I thought last years was quiet on the lawn but there was even less this year. As for the 'stalls', less said the better. Sorry, but David Rowlands fair doesnt constitute a Carnival. Just my ...
@ Don & Mary Thanks for that. I will get onto it after my holiday late september.
@flo There are 2 photographers, the other being Steve Clark, who was on duty alone tonight for Diamondogz. They should have had something on the website by now. As I said earlier, Ian had them for viewing immediately after an event or first thing in the morning. I must say that since my earlier post, some work has been done on the website but the grammar and punctuation is still ...
Just looked at the website and very amateurish indeed. The menu on the right under the list of supporters & sponsors, very poorly written from Facebook page down. The first gallery of photos, Step 2 Starz or Step to the Starz, (they can't make up their mind as to what they are called) the photos have the appearance that they are of very poor quality. Ok, they may look better larger, but you ...
@Fred I agree with some of what you say, but like many many others in this town, I am not Dawlish born and bred, and although I have fully supported carnival week every year since moving here, and participating as well, I take exception to what Maggie Farley said in her address in the programme. That has really turned me off of them so this forum gives me and others a chance to get things ...
@Michael. Thank you for clearing that up. HAve just looked at the TC so the fault does lie with CIC. I have just edited my posting above.
@Mcjrpc It's a shame no-one thought of looking at thCouncil events diary a few weeks ago before all this came out in the open. It is possible that the Carnival was mentioned but removed when Ms Farley opened her mouth. Edit. See response from Michael Clayson 3 below this.
