Enid Blyton's books are just old fashioned. My children didn't enjoy them and chose not to read them themselves, I wouldn't have banned them. There are so many good children's books these days and so much choice. I just wish they'd stop nannying us. We're getting to the point we won't be allowed to think for ourselves.
@elvis presley . no, no connection with them but my husband is a tradesman (not a plumber). we have plenty of experience thank you with both the tradespeople of the surrounding area and the customers. i know who i would recommend and who i wouldn't (trade and customers ...)

Building is okay if infrastructure is in place of which I'm not convinced. Can our schools, doctors and ESPECIALLY our sewerage systems cope? Looking forward to the backlog (no pun intended) of sewerage lorries by Sainsburys next summer ...
