As far as i can remember the beacon in the Brook has only been used once but hey what else should we expect from Dawlish Town Council. As a matter of interest does anyone know what the cost of the beacon was.
It's always been a private road if i remember correctly it used to be full of potholes virtualy impossible to drive on, and again if i remember correctly when the new sewage system was put in place it was resurfaced by South West Water, then resurfaced again by Railtrack after the sea wall was breached.
I have never missed a chance to vote in any election national or local but i am for the first time sat here wondering is it really worth bothering.
I have it in Brunswick Place.
But we still have a long way to go equal pay the pension problem and equality in the workplace and thats for starters lets hope it doesn't take another 100 years.

Dawlish started going down hill with the onset of the internet like a lot of high streets.
There are no jobs advertised and they have not been advertising for staff for a few months when i asked the manager why only yesterday his answer was simple they have so many folk on the books waiting for a job opportunity they dont need to advertise. Just another Dawlish whisper can you really see Sainsburys closing.
If my memory serves me right we lost 38 spaces but if they had installed echelon parking on the right we would have had no parking on the shop side but the same amount of parking as we had origanally on both sides if that makes sense.
I believe the reason women are given anonymity is that a woman who is raped somehow and wrongly in my mind has a label atached to her, women who are raped get blamed for wearing the wrong clothes a typical term i have heard "she was asking for it". Hearing men talk about women i sometimes as a man feel embarrassed at the general comments they make, maybe its time for a shift change in general ...
