Almost 1,000 bulbs were planted over the last weekend. Only another few thousand to go! The next session will take place today, Tuesday 5th , depending on the weather. If you are able to help then meet up at Littleweek Lane ready to continue planting towards Town. Tools and gloves will be available if you need them but you are more than welcome to bring your own. Langdon Hospital. The elephant in the room in terms of the location of all the new housing development. There, I've said it. And I don't care how politically incorrect that might deemed to be by some. The patients at that hospital are there because they have been found guilty in our courts. They have mental health issues. How many have committed violent acts against others? ...

You know that saying 'Beware Greeks bearing gifts' - well........ perhaps that should be updated to 'Beware Chinese kettles and Russian freebee computer software'. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2480900/China-spying-KETTLE-Bugs-scan-wi-fi-devices-imported-kitchen-gadgets.html

Yes, Huw I agree with you. It had also gone through my mind that perhaps the poster message should be the other way around. ie no poster/pumpkin or whatever being displayed = please do not knock on door. Poster saying 'Trick or Treat Welcome Here' (or similar wording)/pumpkin being displayed = please knock on door I wish to participate. Wonder why that's not happened?

Single lane traffic system and temporary traffic lights appeared mid afternoon.  Delays getting into, and out of, the Exeter side of town.

It is not funny to throw eggs at property, cars etc. It can be very frightening and intimidating for vulnerable people to have eggs thrown at their properties just because they won't open the door to you. My very elderly mother had eggs thrown at her window because she didn't respond to the knocking at her front ...

When does something become 'tradition'? I can't remember trick or treating taking place when I was young. Seems to have started off in the last, what?, 35/40 years? Import from America? just like high school proms?

Slight tangent I know but............just wondering idly to myself whether the Chinese involvement in our nuclear energy plants might give rise to any future security issues?
