A few years ago I was abroad on a coach which stopped off at a town that didn't permit cars etc. Ten minutes before we got there the guide phoned ahead and the coach was met at the car park on the outskirts by a number of electric powered vehicles (sponsored or owned by hotels and shops) which shuttled everyone into the town for free. It was a novelty and a bit of fun for everyone. Not saying ...
I'd rather see Sbooty's comment removed.
A new surgery? You mean there's a possibility Dawlish folk might have an alternative to the Barton Surgery gestapo? Nah. Not in my lifetime.
Nice offer. What are the dimensions? You can certainly get a boat trailer along the sea wall, would your unit get under the viaduct?
Thanks I've just read it. I doubt TDC could deny them a lease as they will surely have a right under their existing tender, same as those with beach huts will not have to re-apply for a new one. However I can understand how they feel right now, particularly as it sounds as if they were up against a lot of opposition in the beginning. Hopefully once they get over the shock and upset of this, ...
I believe the beach huts were insured so hopefully that extends to the cafe too but ordinarily I can't imagine rebuilding and refitting would happen so fast. Here's hoping they pull out all the stops though.
Am I right in thinking the actual hut itself was owned by the Council so they would replace it like they're replacing the beach huts? I ask this because I recall a post on here about the Rock Pool people winning the tender. Are we talking replacement of contents/equipment or everything? How does it work?
That's awful. I went there for the first time recently and thought they were doing a great job. The beach huts have been vandalised several times, now this. Don't suppose it'll happen but it's one area that could do with CCTV.
With Flybe's prices, Exeter to London City will only ever be business flights, either for European connections or where a 30 minute time 'saving' for Canary Wharf or Excel is important, (notwithstanding the time to get to the airport in the first place). Have only recently discovered that Easyjet now operates from Southend Airport which has a new station barely an hour out of Liverpool Street - ...
Ok Clive, you've taken it in good spirit, I confess I have had palpitations wondering if I'll make the Dawlish connection from St David's when the train from Paddingron is running late, even if there's another 25 minutes later.
