Note to self - take note of DCC Highway & planning notices in the local papers as well as TDC planning appplications. (I take it DCC did put a public advert in the paper re the moving of the bus stop/knocking down of the wall etc). From the minutes of Dawlish Town Council's Planning Committee meeting held 3/3/16: Consultations received from Devon County Council ANY ...
I've just been looking through the minutes of Dawlish Town Council meetings. This is all I could find. County Cllr John Clatworthy reported to the Dawlish Town Council meeting of November 2015 that; “The extension of the Exeter Road Cycle-path is to be constructed in two phases starting in January.” And then at the full council meeting in December he reported that: “The ...
Anyone else received a glossy A5 size postcard through the post from Bovis advertising the above? From what I can glean the 4 beds cost just shy of £310,000 to just shy of £350,000 so the 5 beds will cost more. I thought to put this on here as I am idly wondering (in the absence of anything better to do on a wet Friday afternoon) why Bovis feel the need to do such target marketing. ...
Gary, I must be missing something here. Maybe my brain's getting addled with all this housing stuff. Who knows.. Anyhow, what I am missing is this: why has the road marking for the new bus stop already been put on the road surface (which is how I knew the bus stop was being moved) when, according to your post, the item is still to be discussed by Dawlish Town Council?
@roberta - it might do, not sure. Where does Sustrans get its money from? Info on Sustrans here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sustrans
If it's Highways work the money is coming from Devon County Council not Teignbridge District. So you could try asking Cllr Clatworthy.
Fred - go ask Graham Davey about the Dawlish need. I've given you his contact details. And you have used the word rumour - can you substantiate in any way what you claim?
Apologies in advance to those who may be tiring of how much some of us are talking about housing but it occurred to me to start a separate thread so I could bring to the attention of all who are interested in this matter just what is meant by the term Affordable Housing. Back in the early days of the Coalition Government (2010/11) new planning policies and guidelines were brought in. This ...

So ........the numbers of people needing social housing has dropped because...........those falling into a certain category are no longer counted. ! I remember reading , years ago it was now, that Soviet Russia claimed it had no homeless people. And why did it claim that? Because all people in Soviet Russia were deemed to have a home even if that home was a cardboard box underneath a ...
