Tesco has confirmed it has dropped its controversial plans to build a store at Sandy Lane, Dawlish. The land at Sandy Lane which is used by Dawlish Town Football Club is no longer a consideration. The company has said it will be unveiling plans for a store at another site within the next few weeks.

AT LAST!!!! Flood signs along the Exeter Road. The road has been flooded most of the day and it's now 18.00hrs and we have flood signs put up. Maybe they waited until they were paid extra time? There are approximately 6 drains between the Rockstone Flats and the Catholic church and 5 of them are always blocked. Why aren't they cleared regularly? Is that not we pay part of our council tax for?
Dawlish is to have a open air ice rink for the three day May Day bank holiday from 3rd to 5th of May. The town council chipped in £1,000 towards the hire charge. The rink is organised by the Dawlish Chamber of Commerce at the cost of £4,000. It is hoped it will attract thousands of visitors to Dawlish.
