There is a lights controlled crossing at the top of Secmaton Lane, after the lane the footpath goes onto Langdon hospital ground. The road after Secmaton is not wide enough to support footpath both sides. Also once the bridge works are completed the footpath on both sides will be re-instated over the bridge so I am told.
When it is finished the paths on both sides will be reinstated. At the moment the route to Sainsbury' s is up little week lane then down Secmaton Lane.
Don't see that it is only coaches parking, station car park is out not enough turning.Only change needed is to make the turning into Marine Parade easier
The Exeter road work was to be completed by the 1st Feb and the road was due on that date tobe returned to normal use. so at the rate things are being carried out completion by Easter looks doubtful. Also Secmaton Lane was supposed to be closed to traffic from the Exeter road from the 4th March hence no bin collection for the residence down there so far this week. Another TDC messup.
Why not along the sea front down at the end The turning circle is big enough for a coach to turn I also think that in the winter period the parking along there should be free, as it is on the Den in Teignmouth.
I question your mortgage figure on a £140,000 property, with a 10% deposit the mortgage would be a lot less than £1200 a month.
Can we arrange to do the same down on the lawn.
The other side now has to be done but should be quicker( I hope )
Secmaton Lane was always due to be closed in March but only for 4 weeks according to notification from TDC. They are supposed to be opening the pedestrian section of the lane whilst the bridge end is closed.
I think the 200 thousand is part of the 1.5 million, I am waiting to see the cost breakdown ( if it is ever supplied) from DCC.
