Sounds good , if its free people will turn up. Also give localbands some publicity.
Local bands have good followings but they wont pay£20 odd quid to watch them and andwhat they will see has some old farts, who they have never heard of. You need bands that appeal to all ages ...these dont. Heres another one Morrisey. How about Echo and the Bunnymen or even Banarama(live fairly local)
No its not for charity....a percentage of any profits will go to charity. The rest of any profits will go to Ambercoast. As for me doing it myself. I dont claim to be an events co-ordinator/promoter. Its not difficult to book bands to appear at a festival. You find out how much each will cost and then, work out how many tickets you need to sell to cover it. Sorry but this is a woman who usually plays venues of less then 500 these days, and they tend to be part of a meal/singer /comedian type evening. Bay City rollers may still fill a 1000 seat hall, at a push, but have no appeal at all to most people. Myself i couldnt think of anything ...
perhaps he has a speed boat
Anymore news about the headliners for this festival. when will they be announced

Lately the newspapers have shown a picture of a skinhead, with a swastika on his arm giving the nazi salute. He was pictured on an EDL march. This was used by the press to indicate that the EDL are racist. The skinhead was later arrested and found to be a member of Unite ...
Hate to say it but this isnt something new to this generation. It has been happening since schools began. Life is what you make it.
The football shirt story was true, the chief constable had to quickly backtrack on what he said , and claimed he was miss quoted. What he claims he said was pubs that didnt want customers wearing football shirts, would be backed up by the police, if they refused to leave.
