I totally agree with Lynne and Duckileaks. The play park needs to be at Sandy Lane. There are a lot of local youngsters who use the park after school and at weekends who may not want to or be allowed to go into town. @roberta I don't think it's anything to do with Dawlish United, the Marine bowling is on the other side and is seperated with a fence.
It doesn't usually look like this, maybe the contractors were in a rush. Bring back the boy's who used to keep the whole of the park etc in tip top condition and i bet their wages was no where near as much as these contractors.

The winter storms moved about 100,000 tonnes of sand and damaged sea defences at Dawlish Warren. The work includes creating a new embankment on the warren, strengthening the seawall to protect buildings in Exmouth and moving about 25 million tonnes of sand back on to the beach.
