If you want 24/7 emergency phones at Boat Cove, technically perfect parking notices which are regularly inspected, maintained public toilets, free green waste collections, funding of Red Rock, integrated social and medical care for the elderly then expect to pay for them.  But if you don't want your council tax increasing and you voted Tory to keep your taxes down then don't complain when the cuts ...

This is boring.  OurSoul is contributing to the debate,  just because you hate someone doesn't mean you have to diasgree with everything they say.  Let it go you people, you're showing yourselves to be no better than what you say OurSoul is.

Mobile phones can make emergency calls via any available network not just the elected provider so yes, chances are there is likely to be mobile coverage 24/7.   But in your worst case scenario of the entire mobile network being shut down at the moment an emergency occurred, my guess is you're more likely to come across a landline within 200 yards of Boat Cove than you would in many other places.   ...

Gary Taylor/Soul of Dawlish you seemed to support approval for development, were you outvoted at the planning meeting? No one will want it as one large dwelling, there isn't any land with it.  Seems like it's a going to be stalemate for decades to come unless it's got commercial use potential.   Any suggestions?

Cars regularly jump red lights, I see them mount the pavement on the Strand to get past delivery vans and someone even tried to turn into the Strand at the Co-op end the other day.   It's pointless coming up with anecdotes, everyone's got them to suit their own opinion.  It would be interesting to know how many collisions there have been, proportionally, due to dangerous driving by drivers and ...

Come on Webmaster, prove you're not biased.  Get rid of ALL these trolls, they're all only here to flame.

@OurSoul - when you say they want to 'detach cockwood' from dawlish,  what would they hope to achieve by doing that?
