I always thought you had to have a licence anyway to watch BBC IPlayer.  I would rather scrap the licence fee and the BBC make its own money through advertising or sponsorship of programmes.

It's amazing to see how fast the politicians can pass legislation through when it's something they want done. The days of paying billions to a state owned company that sells its product all over the World at the T.V. Licence payer's expense should stop. This 'company' is able to financially support itself, if it didn't spend the revenue so recklessly. A case in point would be the BILLION pounds ...

Would be great.

Yes, excellent idea, great to have such choice

As from 1st September 2016 those who only watch catch up TV via I PLAYER will require a TV licence. The new legislation covers those who use laptops, phones, tablets, streaming devices and game consoles, and those using third party services such as Sky, Virgin or BT. The new legislation only applies to BBC programmes so anyone sticking to services from other channels will not require a licence.

Thanks Merlin, our little secret with the puddings lol. Thanks Morty Vicker and thanks for Sharing. Thanks Lynne. Its very early on and just a concept at this stage, the location i was interested in has just been taken over so if anything its now further off than it was lol. Thanks for the advice with the holiday makers, will definitly not forget them.

EXCLUSION zones and strict viewing guidelines will be imposed when the Red Arrows roar over Dawlish this month. Viewers will be banned from the cliff-top fields and paths that flank the town to ensure that there is plenty of empty space around the display area in case a forced landing is necessary. Read more... ...

Do you have a particular location in Dawlish in mind for the restaurant or are you just putting out feelers to see what demand there might be? If it does come off make sure the holiday makers at the campsites know about it. I've just told some that I know about what you are proposing and they expressed quite a bit of interest.
