I havent been on a train for 40 odd years but it seems to me every stop along the line would like the fast London train to stop at their station why should Dawlish be any more important than any other town on the line.
If you raise the track a metre will the train go through the tunnel ???
Thankyou Fred another little gem that has left me smilling you do tend to brighten up my day.
There is a covanant that was put in place by the original land owner when Brunell was building the line that wont allow the wall to be raised that is still in force. But just looking at the wider issues if you raised the wall a metre would the hight of the tunnels have to be raised its just not as simple as pouring a bit of concrete.

As climate change takes hold this could become a yearly event it could be advertised we need a slogan it would bring thousands of folk to the grand opening it could possibly be larger than the air show.
If you want to keep cats out of your garden these work realy well EBAY item no 171265362673 and are legal they also stop kids and anybody who wants to climb your fence.
Andysport. I have given some thought to why i dont visit the beach anymore its probably because the children have now got there own friends and do their own things. When they where young it was a great way to entertain them its free healthy and safe but i have decided that at least once a week i will have a walk along the wall and take the air looking forward to it all being open.
What do i say we have a population of about 13000 and 5 of our finest agree its a good idea however long this runs we will never know what the good folk of Dawlish think.
