burneside-----------that was in 2001 different situation, it is now 2017, lessons should have been learnt and it is now the tory government that is calling the shots. Were there any desenting voices in the tory party in 2001 not to encourage the switch, I can't remember any, maybe you can.

Government needs to regulate industry and take citizen's health seriously, irrespective of which party is in power. Isn't that the real issue?

It's remarkable that a career politician wannabe like Martin Wrigley would allow his cheerleader to stoop so low. Fake news has no place in local politics.

Photoshopping tactics? So, humiliation born of desparation. Pathetic, this exemplifies how low some on the council will stoop. What has this got to do with politics? @Gary Taylor your post at 08:47 reads well and you present a coherent enough argument. So you can act like an adult. So why resort to childish tactics? This speaks volumes about any credibility the Lib Dems might have.

This place has been empty since 2016 (not 2014). At least the toilets are now open, which was the gripe of most locals.

It's neither iconic nor historic, at least not for any positive reasons any way. I'll be glad to see the back of the eyesore, but can only hope that funds are found to replace the much-missed facility at Coryton Cove instead.

In 2001 Gordon Brown introduced tax incentives to encourage the switch to diesel, so Viaduct you know exactly where blame lies.
