According to the Dawlish Gazette:    Beyond the town centre, there are a number of options for taking the route via The Lawn and out of Dawlish. Ultimately, the long term plan is for this route to join up with the trail at Teignmouth , Bishopsteignton and Newton Abbot.

The Environment Agency says that flooding is possible for exposed east facing coastal locations including Hallsands, Beesands, Torcross, Slapton, Blackpool Sands, Brixham, Broadsands, Goodrington, Paignton, Hollicombe, Torquay, Oddicombe, Teignmouth and Dawlish from 8.30am to 12.30pm.
