It was considered but there was a considerable amount of opposition especialy from those who live in Brook Street and were would the money come from millions would be required theres enough fuss over a play park on the lawns never mind a 3 or 4 storey car park.
The point is no one cares only a few hundred people voted that shows the level of interest in the subject and a further vote would be the same nobody gives a monkeys apart from maybe 1 or 2 folk.

I don't necessarily have a problem with more stringent checks at passport control. The point I am making is that with the number of people who travel abroad these days, such checks will lead to queues. (or longer queues than travellers already experience.) So Brits travelling to EU countries will be subject to greater passport control, and thus longer queues, than EU citizens.
