Thanks to neilh for something completely different, I took this from Wikipedia. Some species of goose barnacles are pelagic and are most frequently found on tidewrack on oceanic coasts. Unlike most other types of barnacles , intertidal goose barnacles depend on water motion rather than the movement of their cirri for feeding, and are therefore found only on exposed or moderately exposed ...

Thanks to webmaster and dallas

I fully support webmaster in this, I don't have any issues with the 'language' but flaming isn't acceptable and achieves precisely nothing in a forum intended for discussing local issues. I am a member of other international forums where quite serious 'abuse' takes place but these are totally different, mainly technical forums, but this isn't acceptable in a forum where local people discuss local ...

A driver is supposed to remain at the scene of such an incident, however: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/TravelAndTransport/Highwaycode/DG_069853 [Laws HA 1835 sect 72, R(S)A 1984, sect 129(5)] Dogs. Do not let a dog out on the road on its own. Keep it on a short lead when walking on the pavement, road or path shared with cyclists or horse riders. Every year in the UK there are numerous road ...

Add that to the Two Billion spent on the War on Libya http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2011/sep/25/libya-conflict-uk-defence-bill it is clear that the govt isn't really short of money, just short of money to spend in the UK. I can never understand the demand for weekly bin collections, we have weekly collections, one week the black bin next week the green bin. How can we 'return' to something ...

Might be of interest, next Tuesday's BBC File on Four (Radio 4) 20:00 is on the new planning laws proposed for the UK. Usually a well balanced and informative programme, am sure it will be of interest to anyone concerned about these new proposals.

Summed up perfectly leatash. All I've heard since moving here is Dawlish needs regeneration, yet as soon as anyone dare to suggest that we have new houses and heaven forbid a decent Supermarket then it's "let's stay the way we are". Just imagine the outcry if Dawlish consisted of 100 dwellings and someone suggested it should be expanded to 200 dwellings!!! Dawlish is residential, I wouldn't expect ...
