I have not used this service but several people I know who use it are also impressed by the service and help they get from the Drivers. Excellent website with up to date info about the Dalwish (sic) service. Would be good to email them to let them know they are appeciated as it is normally only the 'unhappies' they hear from.
Many thanks, indeed it is very difficult to keep on top of such stuff.
You're probably right about the bot as, am sure most people are familiar with sites now asking you to put in a sequence of distorted numbers or letters, or the answer to a simple sum to login. The idea being that a bot can't process such info. I ran a site once that was 'infected' with a bot that inserted hyperlinks which took people to shopping sites. Perhaps the webmaster can comment, am sure ...
So people can see that izdvd is a commercial business not an individual, strange the person posting the izdvd ads doesn't know how to put links into their ads.
Re the posts by izdvd http://www.izdvd.com/ This is a commercial website and I wonder why these posts have been made trying to sell dvds, I don't think Dawlish.com is a forum for promoting commercial interests and websites, making such posts on sites such as this clearly an attempt to get cheap (free) advertising, what do others think?
I think in the space available they have a very good range of products. They are good at opening more checkouts when they see queues forming, so generally service is very good. I know several people who said they would never shop there as they would only support local shops in Dawlish, however, I have seen them at ALL at Sainsburys and they admit plenty of parking and being able to buy everything ...
dallas, there's an idea, breeding pens and a Sunday duck market on the Lawns, maybe seagull and pigeon pies for sale, could be an good income generator.
Play area is excellent idea, there is nothing in Dawlish to attract families. I spoke to parents earlier this year who told me they always brought their kids to Dawlish from the Warren to play bingo at Harrisons, however, Harrisons don't allow under 18's to play bingo anymore!!! Might seem a small point but all these small issues add up, lack of parking close to the Seafront, no shops for ...
Lynne's comments re her trip to Teignmouth sums it up, 'Peacocks, Superdrug, WH Smith and the like'. Now if these and other stores opened in The Strand I could see the point of it being pedestrianised, but there is nothing to attract more than locals grabbing their prescriptions and a quick look in the charity shops, most locals I speak to, elderly and retired mainly, wouldn't park and walk to ...
Yep, that's why we need the new planning laws to prevent unreasonable objections, people constantly moan about high rents and lack of housing but then complain whenever a developer wants to build new properties, and the NIMBYS appear. When I was growing up there were always new houses being built and I can't remember such objections. Whenever people tell me that these houses aren't needed I ask ...
