If the old vicarage is listed, perhapsowners/ developers are waiting until its so far gone it can be knocked down? just like the signal box on the station.
Dawlish town centre makes more sense than the Warren to me ,we need to find ways of getting people to spend more time (and money) in the town.On dull days, a modern , child friendly museum with sensible opening times would be a great alternative to the amusement arcades. Surely we deserve a museum comparable to the one at Teignmouth. Personally, I like the manor house idea but should the site ...
Would be interesting to know how many other empty apartments there are in Dawlish ...meanwhile, developers continue to build new homes that most locals cannot afford!

Can English Heritage or the Railway Heritage Trust not help with the repairs? It would be such a shame for Dawlish to lose this piece of history.

A lot of residents work near Exeter or Newton Abbot so it may be more convenient for them to go to Tescos or ASDA after work or even shop online. Also, a lot of our retirement community have access to cars so they may well choose to travel further to pick up the bargains. Our shopping habits have changed and I dont think ...
Alcohol licence sounds great but not sure how our emergency services would cope with the extra workload for any drunken, dangerous behaviour. As far as I know, there is no vehicle access to the beach? Alcohol could be restricted to certain times of the day but of course people may decide to take along their own! Music licence also sounds great but I'm not sure I'd want to listen to it all day ...
