Rock Pool Cafe
The following application for a Premises Licence from the new owners.
Live music and recorded music outdoors Monday to Sunday 0900hrs until 2100hrs and sale of alcohol Monday to Sunday 1200hrs until 2100hrs.
Sunny weather, live music, a nice burger, all washed down with a few pints of cider.
Sounds idyllic (I wish I was there now!)
Alcohol licence sounds great but not sure how our emergency services would cope with the extra workload for any drunken, dangerous behaviour.As far as I know, there is no vehicle access to the beach? Alcohol could be restricted to certain times of the day but of course people may decide to take along their own!
Music licence also sounds great but I'm not sure I'd want to listen to it all day long if I spent a day at the beach. Musical taste is so personal . Perhaps that could be restricted to certain times of day?
Good point about the music, perhaps it could have live music occasionally which is well advertised, to allow people to choose whether or not to use the beach on that day.
However many people take alcohol to the beach so I don't see how it makes any difference.
Rock Pool Cafe is officially opening tomorrow (Bank Holiday Monday). 10.00am
There is a a full page advert about the opening on page 27 of this week's Dawlish Post. If you look to the bottom left of the page you will see a picture advertising the cafe. It says that if you cut out that picture it can be used as a coupon to get 20% off any purchase at Rock Pool Cafe on Bank Holiday Monday.
