Hopefully you'll be pleased to learn that the off-season free parking on a Sunday has started again in Dawlish. Please remember that this applies to TDC car parks only - and therefore not to on-street parking.

However the Network Rail report states that an alternative route would not only be ridiculously expensive and present all sorts of logistical nightmares due to, ironically, floodplains, but would also increase the journey times to Plymouth and beyond anyway! Note before you try to shoot me down, it's their report, not mine. Wondering you are so right about the ridiculous lack of rolling ...

I've just heard the sad news that Wally passed away at the weekend. He was of course a local businessman, a former town mayor and a prolific charity fundraiser. My sincere condolences go to his lovely wife June and to all of his family and friends. R.I.P. Wally.

Totally agree and hope that the privatisation-creep within the NHS gets reversed once the Westminster axis of evil is kicked out next May.
