Fire fighters from Dawlish and Teignmouth were called out deal with a to a 'suspicious' barn fire at Eastdon House, near Starcross, in the evening hours of Saturday. Upon arrival the fire crews found that a Dutch barn containing 10 large bales of straw and a large quantity of cardboard was well alight. At around 7pm on Monday 24 September an 11-year-old boy was assaulted by a group of youths when on his own in Manor Gardens Park, Barton Terrace, Dawlish.
