@wondering Whats "lamguage* hahaha
Usual council bullshit from Vanguard who will probably be on the front row of the photos taking the credit come the May celebrations. Shame no comment made on how and why a footpath to no where has cost 1.7 million pounds and why the scheme publically voted for was not implemented
@willosindawlish You werent making comments like that when me and others signed your planning appeal to TDC to keep your pathetic tent, which incidenly dosent fit in with the image the regeneration guys want for the town. So you may be needing our help again in the future.
@Mwnl Save your money and go to Scarborough or the Dales. Dawlish isent ready for visitors yet. Have another look around June time or come down for carnival week.
Another delaying tactic to put TDC off taking enforcement action. If the electricity and water services have been located in the wrong place then they themselves must have done it, as they are the main and only developer on site. Come on TDC get a grip of this situation its been going on for 2 years now
A couple of years ago I had conversations with both Mcdonalds and KFC and both have the same basic requirements for giving a franchise agreement. The main issue both Dawlish and Teignmouth have is lack of population. Both brands require a surrounding population of 30,000 minimum. The opening hours required would probably scare off quite a few as well.
As the number of businesses especially retail is falling in and around the town centre, what about the businesses on the Warren and the Industrial estate. Guess we wont count once again.
The left turn at the top of Brunswick is going to be a bit tight for the bigger coaches. Also getting out easily will depend on the road width of the new Strand once finished. A better option would be to do a deal with Network Rail on using their car park at the station once the railway repair work has finished.
Just out of interest did the site manager say who he was working for, only it dosent look like the transformer had anything to do with building industrial units but was an replacement/upgrade unit for Shutterton Ind Estate installed by Western Power.
This topic has gone strangely quiet
