Emergency repair work is being carried out to a Devon seaside town's sea defences after a 6ft deep hole appeared during the stormy weather. Waves continued to lash the seafront on Saturday as work began repairing the 15ft long by 6ft wide hole, which was deep enough for a man to stand in.
