No, Lynne I can’t think of any justifiable reasons or arguments as to why there should be a space-consuming, brash and noisy play park on our Lawn, which is most unlikely to generate any appreciable additional income for the town. Clearly spending the Sainsbury’s S106 money on such would be in direct contradiction to the objectives of the Dawlish Town Masterplan which include restoring the ...
More of a problem is that the media is lazy. Also newspapers have cut costs down to the bone, letting most of their reporters go, so they share any tidbit of so-called news around between them, put their own bit of spin on it, and hey presto it is spread far and wide and gets all out of proportion. Sadly this Town Clerk uses creative accounting to deal with perceived nuisances like the War Memorial Garden. A power play? Get rid; less work. A hope that the Town Councillors are sleeping on the job and will not challenge her. High time her maths and her motives are questioned! Get a grip Dawlish. Stop trying to ruin the best we have, including this special garden, the Lawn and Tuck's plot. ...

And the Brook
It is owned by the boss of Vodaphone, I believe.
There will also be a Gardener's Question Time, which Toby and 'local experts' will field, so bring along your gardening queries. These can be to do with fruit, vegetables or even ornamental plants. Sounds like a good evening. Remember 'the key is the soil'. Be there or be square.
