A new freshly painted station ( IKB heritage ) cafe overlooking the sea with hanging baskets and access from the prom would be an appropriate reposte by Dawlish to Ilfacombes pregnant woman.
Its was initially reported as a 'Millon Pound' station refurbishment scheme. So now the question is - How much money is left and what do they propose to spend it on ? - Lets hope its a spot of paint !
Great job Tallyrand - you deserve a 'gong' from the town council in recognition of outstanding sleeplessness in recording a piece of their history - the video went particulary well. Well done, hopefully you are having some deserved sleep before turning your attention back to- a full English !
Well be with you all the way - stoking up the fire for a late session on the computer. Good luck - wishing you decent weather. Have also posted on your other bridge replacement site.
Here we go again - should be a tester to drop the new bridge in place - looking forward to the pics and any video. Much obliged for all your efforts in recording this major engineering project for the town. I would have thought the Dawlish Museum would be interested in keeping a photographic record of this project.
Well done Tallyrand - Great job.The sequence of pics were perfect. Have a easy week to prepare for another great effort next weekend. As the Generals used to say ' Carry on-I'm right behind you' - In my particular case its about 250 miles.
Just noticed that Tallyrands photos appear to have been taken from a vantage spot on the roof of the ' Chippy,' Obviously has his' Chefs ' hat on!
Lets keep it simple and view Tallyrands photos, The first five are just the job - keep posting Tallyrand don't worry about their order
Now Stephen 15 -It must be me - but if a rail event is happening which last occurred in 1937 I cannot understand why the railcam cannot be pointed west - killing two birds with one stone comes to mind. However it may not be as simple as that - Looks like Cheftallyrands photos will have to do. I'm sure they will be just fine.
Thank you for trying to help. Unfortunately your assumption over which bridge is to be replaced would appear to be incorrect. If we are to see the station footbridge replacement from your cam you would need to have your cam facing West not East. Can you move its direction remotely for a couple of months so that all interested parties can watch the progress of this engineering project.
