I too visit Dawlish and stay in a caravan with my husband several times a year, I have a nice life, a nice detached house, and could go abroad if I wanted to, I choose not to. My husband has a well paid job in computing and I have a part time job as a sales assistant, so this person, who used the term 'working class slob' needs to stop being so judgemental and ignorant to what is going on around ...

Shut up ! You don't have a clue what your talking about. I live in the City of Gloucester and holiday in Dawlish, it's a lovely place to stay and NO, it's not stuck in the 1950's, if you don't like it, piss off.
