Found this on the Daily Torygraph website. Make of it what you will: Aggressive, Australian and over here – black swans are spreading across the UK and threatening to force out their native cousins, conservationists have warned. The birds, which originate in Australia and have escaped from private collections in Britain, are now breeding at dozens of sites across the country. The number of ...

From the Herald Express. I would post this as News, but don't seem able to. Manager Jeff Evans can see his Dawlish Town squad coming together quite nicely ahead of tomorrow's pre-season friendly away to South West Peninsula League side Cullompton Rangers. It's a getting-to-know-you process in every sense with Evans among the newcomers at Sandy Lane after his close season appointment in ...

Some people are beyond satire. ;-)

Take the dots out of the URL, and the webpage magically appears! Sorry to spoil your conspiracy theory.

Apologies, I missed a word out and should have written "if the grading is NOT achieved.". My mistake was only a technicality though... ;-)

A lot of the work that would be needed to get Sandy Lane up to scratch for the Southern League is actually more technical than aesthetic. Should promotion be achieved on the pitch at the end of this coming season, then the club have just under a year from then to get everything in order. If the grading is achieved, then the club would have to drop back into the Western League.

Should Dawlish Town gain promotion into the Southern League, Sandy Lane will need to be upgraded to a Grade D standard by 31st March of the following year. Should it not be, the club would be immediately relegated. Would you like me to provide a link to the relevant F.A. document that describes what's necessary in order to fulfil the Grade D requirements? Or are you just taking the piss?

With regards to your hypothetical question concerning the role of the Clerk. Serious answer: How on earth would I know? As you're the one that gave this thread the subject name "Idiot Magistrates", did you really mean to type "Idiot Clerk To Justice"?

I find it interesting that the news article that you pasted refers to the copper's car model. BMW = flashy, fast, expensive car. Completely irrelevant in a news report, but referred to by the paper for effect. If he is found to be over the limit, I hope that the full force of the law is brought down on him. As for the magistrate, he should also be called to account to explain his decision.

I thought the Seasider's did really well against the touring Belgian professional side, only to lose to a well dodgy late penno. A couple of the new signings seem to have massively strengthened the side, and we should have scored more than the 1. It finished 1-2 by the way. Last night though, the clinical finishing that was the only difference between the two sides on Saturday, was back on show ...
