There is a growing group of experienced and influential people planning to meet in September. Hopefully this will include the present committee who have a wealth of experience behind them. They will be offered all the help they need to iron out the current problems and move the Carnival forward next year. It is strange that some people only see the information in a piece of prose that they want to see. Viaduct talks of Rotary when I clearly stated it was Round Table who organised Party in the Park. What a sad and ill-informed little person you are. Dullish by name and, undoubtedly, by nature. If you did a modicum of research, you would know that the Party in the Park was a free event,paid for by hard fought for sponsorship and a bucket collection on the day. Ho ho ho, Santa here. It wasn't my lunch break, but I had to go and feed the reindeer. Otherwise the RSPCA, 'elf n safety and the European Workplaces Executive would have been down on me like a ton of snowballs. Point taken though. I will arrange a couple of helpers to sort out Rudolf and Co. on December 9th. And don't be silly. There is only one Santa and that's me, so I couldn't get a stand-in, ...

The Party in the Park was organised by Dawlish and Teignmouth Round Table. Malcolm Protheroe (of the Mount Pleasant Inn)was the main driving force behind the huge amount of work that went on behind the scenes to make it all happen.
