More have turned up today.
we were talking to the man picking up rubbish over the park thismorning and he told us one of the Travellers asked him if he would pick up their rubbish, he said no but gave them two black plastic bags and said if they put their rubbish in them and leave them by the path he would collect them after. My friend said she put a black plastic bag out on collection day and it never got taken!
I know someone contacted the police yesterday and they had already been informed and said it was not a police matter but Teignbridge council's responsibility. Does that mean their cars are legally parked.
I saw them driving around the Playing Fields thisafternoon and now they have made themselves at home behind the kids play area. Someone said there will be more joining them.
Does anyone know anything about a man with grey hair tied up in a pony tail who walks along the sea wall towards Dawlish Warren. He has been known to threaten dog walkers and throw sand at them.
Good!
Are we supposed to vote tomorrow? It all seems very quiet.
Had a letter posted through my door to say Dawlish United is about to take over the clubhouse and football ground at Sandy Lane. Their intentions are to keep playing football on the ground for local youths and adults. The club house will be open to the community of Dawlish.
I do not think we need too many of the unhealthy food takaways. Maybe a K.F.C or a McDonalds for the occasional treat but used too frequently only adds to the obesity which we are seeing more of.
Any idea what's happening with the empty ex Deli and Cafe' on the Strand?
