It's surprising that the fig is only .1% over the 7% threshold for the decision on interest rates to be discussed by the Bank of England under their Forward Guidance policy! Smells as bad as most of the manure that spews from the governments septic blackhole.
It's more than likely a large number of people on JSA have just finished their 6 month limit and now are no longer UNEMPLOYED. As far as those dimwits in power are concerned.

Until the government 'that being whatever puppet party is in power at the time' mans up and takes responsibility for the proper management of the welfare state, nothing will change. There needs to be a massive structural and procedural change to filter out those who are deserving and those that are not. @Lynne - i worked at one of the caravan sites down there for several years and it always flooded every year. the water would be up to a foot deep or so along the dyke wall. even with pumps on site the water still came up through the man holes. at the time the water company was aware of the extensive new builds in plan and advised they would not be increasing their facilities anytime soon. says ...
